NHL playoff bets: One scoring prop for all four teams tonight

We came out ahead last night thanks to some strong plus-money spots on our point props, and we'd like to continue focusing in on some scoring-related bets. We are finding these types of plays to be a bit more reliable than the shots on goal market lately, and in two games that look primed for scoring, value seems likely to be had.

There will be a few familiar names to you on this list, but hey, if it ain't broke.

Morgan Rielly assist (-102 CZR)

I for one have been betting on Morgan Rielly to grab an assist in every game this series, and so far the Toronto defenseman is 3-3. With the Maple Leafs facing a sweep, I would expect them to throw everything they've got at Florida, but it hasn't seemed to matter either way — Rielly is staying involved.

Rielly has just seemingly always had the Panthers number. He is now up to 21 assists in his last 15 games against Florida, with an assist in all but one of those games. No time to sit this one out now. If you'd rather go safer with a point prop to include a potential Rielly goal, might I recommend the next defenseman assist play I highlight a little ways down the article?

Anthony Duclair point (+119 CZR)

We highlighted Anthony Duclair's point at plus-money before Game 3, and what do you know, he delivered a goal. I see nothing that has changed to suddenly say "nah, let's give Duclair a break tonight."

He's still on Florida's top line, and he now has a point in all three games this series and in five of his last six games. I'm amazed we're still getting plus-money here, and I'm not hesitating in going back to him.

Evan Bouchard assist (-127 CZR)

For the first time this postseason, Bouchard failed to get a point in a game, and it's just his second time since the first game of the playoffs that the Edmonton defenseman hasn't logged an assist.

The differentiator was most definitely the lack of power-play success for the Oilers in Game 3. Bouchard acts as the quarterback on Edmonton's power play, sitting at the top of the zone and moving the puck to his playmakers. That has helped him log a power-play point in all but one game during this postseason run.

I'm going back to Bouchard. He's gained my trust, as I've been betting him since Game 1 against the Kings. I expect a more spirited effort out of Edmonton tonight as they look to even this series at home.

Jonathan Marchessault point (-108 CZR)

I debated whether including some repeat names would be boring, but then I remembered there's absolutely nothing boring about winning bets, and that's exactly what Jonathan Marchessault helped us do last time he was on the ice.

It's funny, I mentioned how I bet Marchessault to score in Games 1 and 2, and was pivoting to his point for Game 3. Sure enough, he scored twice, and I do expect a point from Marchessault to come as a goal, if you'd like to take chance.

Considering how reasonable his point line still is, I'm opting to go that route, perhaps there's some cosmic energy that doesn't allow me to cash a Marchessault goal, but just quietly accept a winning point prop bet instead. So be it.

Marchessault is leading all players in shots this series, and it finally paid off in Game 3. He's on the top line with Jack Eichel and Ivan Barbashev, two players who have both found the back of net multiple times. That line should continue getting on the board, and in some form I like Marchessault to get in on the fun.
