The Philadelphia Flyers have been looking for a trade partner for Shayne Gostisbehere since the offseason. It’s possible they may have one in the Florida Panthers.
NHL Rumors: Flyers could be a Keith Yandle landing spot
Alain Vigneault is familiar with Keith Yandle from their time together with the Rangers. According to Jimmy Murphy of Florida Hockey Now, this potential Gostisbehere swap dates back to the NHL Draft.
If it were to go down, the deal would make sense for both sides and is one to keep an eye on.
NHL Rumors: Leafs may trade Travis Dermott
Travis Dermott is no stranger to the Maple Leafs rumor mill. He’s also been subject to being a possible expansions candidate for the Seattle Kraken.
Does that mean dealing from the apparent surplus on the back end? Perhaps. Travis Dermott feels like the likeliest candidate to move. He’s averaged just over 11 minutes per game so far this season with no power play or penalty killing opportunity. Rasmus Sandin could slide easily into those minutes. Maybe Mikko Lehtonen can as well.

It makes sense to deal from a strength/surplus to address a weakness/need. If the Leafs are more interested in an upgrade versus just acquiring an extra forward then they’ll need to give to get.
