NHL Saturday bets: Three props to target
It's a massive Saturday slate in the NHL, and of the 12 games, I've circled the three that stick out to me to start our day.
Let's get right to the spots.
Jack Eichel over 3.5 SOG (+100 DK)
Jack Eichel has been rolling with his shots, and there doesn't seem to be any true reason to stop loading him up when he plays, especially at even-money.
Eichel has covered his shots on goal prop in six of his last seven games, with 5 SOG in three straight.
The attempts are all there, and he gets himself another solid opponent Saturday.
Chicago allows 33.2 shots per game in their past ten on the road, making them an ideal target for SOG props.
Given Eichel's consistency, he's my preferred option.
Cole Caufield goal (+235 FD)
I initially planned to take Caufield at -138 for a point, but I'm altering the approach.
Toronto has seen 5 goals per game scored against them in their last five on the road, and with Montreal averaging 3.2 of their own in the same span of time at home, I'm confident they can score tonight.
Caufield has piled on points at home, with 13 in his last nine games, including 3 the last time he played Toronto.
The point is safer, but I think the goal value is too good to ignore.
At home, Caufield has a goal in six of his last nine games, and as the steadiest shooter and creator on this Montreal offense, I like him to get involved tonight.
I'm betting .5 units on Caufield to score.
Ilya Mikheyev over 2.5 SOG (-110 DK)
We stick in this game and load up Ilya Mikheyev to continue his shots on goal success at reasonable odds.
Montreal has been a great target for shots all season, and in their last ten at home, the Canadiens are allowing 33.4 shots per game.
Mikheyev has been steady, covering his SOG in eight of his last ten games and five straight on the road.
Despite being on the third line, I can't ignore this production, and considering he hit his SOG the last time these teams met, there's plenty to like.
Best of luck today betting on the NHL!
