NHL Sunday bets: Five plays to wrap our weekend

We successfully navigated a big slate in the NHL yesterday and have a more modest schedule to wrap the weekend. There's some great games on the docket and solid prop value around every corner. Let's dig in.

Connor McDavid & Nathan MacKinnon over 3.5 SOG (+118 FD)

This combo is available only on FanDuel under the "Player Performance Parlays" section.

This Colorado-Edmonton game should be fun, and both sides look great for shots. Sometimes in a high-caliber game like this one it can be best to just opt for the stars, and luckily for us both McDavid and MacKinnon look like tremendous choices for four shots and even better — FanDuel is letting us combine them.

McDavid has gone over 3.5 shots in eight of his last nine on the road and 68% of games this season. His attempts are sky-high and he's hit in three straight vs. Colorado.

MacKinnon's line is set at 4.5, so we're getting him at a discount here. MacKinnon has 6+ SOGs in four straight and is averaging 10.2 attempts in his last five.

MacKinnon has a rich history against Edmonton, going for 4+ shots in nine of his last 11 meetings, averaging 5.45 SOG/game in that stretch. That's history I'm glad to follow. For good measure, MacKinnon has a goal in nine of those 11 games, so I'll go ahead and tack on a goal bet here as well.

.5u: Nathan MacKinnon goal (+120 DK)

Morgan Rielly point (-105 DK)

This is a price I have to grab despite Rielly being a bit less consistent on the road. Morgan Rielly is sitting on 399 career points and saw his five-game point streak snap last night.

Now is the right time for me to scoop the bounce-back effort against a Chicago team allowing 3.3 goals per game in their last 10 at home.

Rielly has nine points in his last seven games against the Blackhawks.

Boone Jenner over 3.5 SOG (-110 MGM)

I'm loving the volume from Boone Jenner lately, and at this price — he may be my favorite play of the day. Jenner is facing Arizona, a team that is allowing 37.5 shots per game at home over their last 10 along with handing out 3.9 power plays per game over the past 10 games.

Jenner is involved on the power play and shooting the puck with ferocity. Jenner has eight or more attempts in four straight games and in his last three on the road, he's tallied 15 SOG on 27 attempts. That is volume I need to bet here.

Last time Jenner was in Arizona, he finished with six shots on goal. He also has three goals in his last three against the Coyotes and has found the back of net twice in his past four. If these attempts remain, he is as solid of a bet as anyone to score tonight.

.5u: Jenner goal (+175 DK)
