Oilers' Connor McDavid praises teammate Leon Draisaitl
Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid has been teammates with Leon Draisaitl for a while now, and he couldn't help but praise the 24-year-old.
Draisaitl's talent is often overshadowed by McDavid's, but both are still top tier players in the NHL. On a recent episode of the "Spittin' Chiclets" podcast, McDavid discussed what makes Draisaitl so special, among other things.
It's no surprise that McDavid calls Draisaitl an elite passer. On top of scoring 43 goals this season, Draisaitl also has 67 assists and leads the league in that category and in points with 110.
The 2019-20 campaign is Draisaitl's second consecutive season with 100-plus points, and he's played a large role in helping the Oilers reach a playoff spot this year.
Edmonton is second in the Pacific Division with 83 points and could reach the playoffs for the first time since 2016-17 and just the second time since the 2006-07 season.
