Edmonton Oilers general manager and president of hockey operations Ken Holland announced Monday that the club has signed goaltender Connor Ungar to a two-year, entry-level contract.

The 22-year-old just wrapped up his season with Brock University in USports, where he posted a 20-6-0 record to go with a 2.15 goals against average and a .932 save percentage through 26 games. Ungar set a new school record for wins in a season, earning the OUA West Goaltender of the Year and OUA West Rookie of the Year honours as well as a spot on the OUA West First All-Star Team and the OUA West All-Rookie Team. Ungar helped the Badgers reach the Ungar in the 2024 University Cup tournament as the eighth seed where they ultimately fell to the 2024 Champions, University of New Brunswick Reds.

Through five seasons in the WHL with the Wheat Kings, Red Deer Rebels and Moose Jaw Warriors, Ungar posted a 53-20-2 record, 2.57 goals against average and a .917 save percentage in 87 appearances, he had a 6-4-2 record through 14 WHL playoff contests.
