Patrick Kane scored at 3:42 of overtime to give the host Detroit Red Wings a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night.

Kane collected a backhanded pass from Dylan Larkin and scored from the slot in Detroit's third straight victory. The Red Wings also ended a 10-game losing streak to Colorado, which was also seeking its third straight victory.
