Under 24 hours after re-assigning him to the AHL, the Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Jansen Harkins back to the NHL roster.

Harkins was recalled to the Penguins prior to their matchup against the New York Rangers, but was re-assigned after the completion of warmups.

During the preseason, Harkins was claimed off of waivers from the Winnipeg Jets and earned a spot on the opening night roster.

After four games with no points, Harkins was assigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

The NHL Penguins sure seem to find him as a possible useful piece as they continue to recall him in case he is needed for games.
