Penguins recall Radim Zohorna ahead of Game 6, Sidney Crosby's status in question

The Pittsburgh Penguins recalled forward Radim Zohorna from the AHL on Thursday ahead of Friday's Game 6 matchup with the New York Rangers.

The move by Pittsburgh casts a shadow of doubt over whether captain Sidney Crosby will be available to play on Friday. Crosby left the ice during the second period of Game 5 after being hit in the head by Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba.

Trouba did not receive discipline from the league following the game, as the hit was deemed to be legal. Penguins coach Mike Sullivan told the press on Thursday that Crosby sustained an upper-body injury, but the extent of the injury was not made public.

Puck drop between the Penguins and the Rangers on Friday is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
