Roman Josi and Gustav Nyquist each had three points as the streaking Nashville Predators recorded a 4-1 win over the visiting Ottawa Senators on Tuesday.

The Predators have won six consecutive games, matching their longest streak of success this season.

Josi had two goals and an assist, while Nyquist had a goal and two assists. Both players matched their season high with three points in a game.

Michael McCarron scored the Predators' other goal, and Juuse Saros stopped 24 of 25 shots to earn the victory.

Nashville outshot Ottawa by a whopping 19-0 margin during the third period.

Drake Batherson tallied the only goal for the Senators, who lost for the second time in as many days on their brief two-game road trip.

Joonas Korpisalo stopped 32 of 36 shots.

McCarron opened the scoring 3:23 into the game. Josi added to the Predators' lead by blasting a point shot for a power-play goal at the 5:44 mark.

Nashville held a 7-0 shots advantage over the first six minutes of play, but the Senators outshot the Predators by a 14-1 margin in the remainder of the first period.

The pressure paid off during a Senators power play with 62 seconds remaining before the first intermission. Batherson extended his goal streak to three games by blasting a one-timer from the high slot for his 20th goal of the season.

The Predators responded with a late strike of their own 18:31 into the second period. Ottawa defenseman Travis Hamonic slipped and fell during a Nashville passing play, allowing Josi a clear path toward net for his second goal of the game.

That tally seemed to deflate the Senators, leading to Nashville's dominant third period. Nyquist put the game away with a rebound goal at the 13:12 mark of the final frame.

Senators forward Josh Norris didn't return after sustaining an upper-body injury midway through the second period.
