Beckett Hendrickson was born on June 24, 2005, in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Beckett’s father, Darby, was a fourth-round draft pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1990 NHL Draft. Darby played 518 career NHL games for five teams and was most recently an assistant coach with the Minnesota Wild. Beckett played 20 games of high school hockey at Minnetonka High School during the 2020-21 season and then joined the United States National Development Program the next year.

Hendrickson scored 19 goals with 12 assists in 87 total games and then during the 2022-23 season, the center totaled 20 goals and 30 assists in 73 games. Hendrickson played in the World Junior championships and chipped in two assists in seven games as the United States won the Gold Medal.

Beckett Hendrickson was drafted by the Boston Bruins with the 124th pick in the fourth round of the 2023 NHL Draft. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound forward split time in the United States Hockey League with the Sioux Falls Stampede and the Dubuque Fighting Saints. Overall, Hendrickson scored 27 goals with 37 assists in 59 games and played with fellow Bruins prospect Chris Pelosi as a member of the Stampede.

Hendrickson has committed to the University of Minnesota for the 2024-25 season and has attended Bruins Development Camp the last two summers.
