Kristian Kostadinski was born on March 20, 2005, in Goteborg, Sweden. Kostadinski played for Frolunda HC U16 team during the 2018-19 season and split time between divisions 1 and 2. In eleven games, the defenseman totaled one goal and four assists. The next season, in 25 games, Kostadinski scored 10 goals with 18 assists. During the 2020-21 season, the big blue liner became captain U16 team for five games before joining the J18 club.

After two seasons on the J18 team, Kostadinski joined J20 and contributed two goals and eight assists in 43 games. Kostadinski would become captain of the J20 squad during the 2023-24 season.

Kostadinski was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the seventh round of the 2023 NHL Draft with the 220th pick. Only four players were taken after him. Kostadinski’s size is his greatest asset, as evidenced by the following scout from Elite Prospects: “Kostadinski is tall, has range, and can play physically . Shows poise on breakouts, can execute quality cross-lane breakouts through pressure”.

The 6-foot-6 Kostadinski was drafted by the Dubuque Fighting Saints 16th overall in the 2024 USHL Draft but has chosen to stay with Frolunda in the J20 Nationell in Sweden for the 2024-25 season.
