Things to Know

Robby Fabbri is still out, and Christian Fischer may join him on the inactive list tonight. “Fisch is day to day, he tweaked an upper-body (Thursday),” coach Derek Lalonde said. “I don’t know what it’ll look like. Fabs won’t be available. We may call someone up.” …

Fans wh0 stream Red Wings game (and the Pistons) have been out of luck this week due t0 technical glitches with the Bally Sp0rts app. The problem appears to have been fixed, but subscribers may have to sign into their accounts again. Meanwhile, the channel issured this apology on Friday:

The Bruins are off to a blazing start after winning the President’s Trophy last season.”Their D corps is special. Their goaltending is excellent. I think (David) Pastrnak and (Brad) Marchand are two of the best players in the league, not only their talent but in the way they play,” Lalonde said. “Arguably, player for player, the best team in the league, but they’re playing the right way. I’m excited about our challenge, especially after how un-competitive we were (last week).” …

The Red Wings, meanwhile, have won just once in the last two weeks, including a 4-1 loss at Boston a week ago. “They’re obviously a top-five team for a reason,” defenseman Jake Walman said. “We didn’t play our game that game. It started right with the first period. We just were flatfooted. I think we needed to set the tone a little more, especially playing at home. Come out strong, hard. We want to be battling as a top-five team as well, so these are the games that mean the most.”

In Thursday’s loss, the Red Wings were manhandled on face-offs, prompting some lineup shuffling at Friday’s workout. “Just get back to the basics a little bit,” Alex DeBrincat said. “Not rely on our skill too much. Just play simple. I think that’s a recipe for success. Once you get back in the groove of things you can start making those little fancier plays and stuff like that. We gotta work to get the pucks back again. I feel like we’re spending too much time losing battles.”
