Report: Bruins, Predators the 'two most likely teams' on Taylor Hall's list

Now that the Colorado Avalanche are reportedly out on the Taylor Hall sweepstakes, it appears two teams have emerged as front-runners to land the 2010 first overall pick. 

According to Adrian Dater of Colorado Hockey Now, the Boston Bruins and Nashville Predators "are the two most likely teams on Hall’s shortlist."

It's been reported that the Bruins offered Hall a short-term deal, and that's something the talented winger is open to signing. It's unknown what the Predators have offered him, but they do have nearly $15 million in cap space to make a deal work. 

After a frustrating season that ended with the Coyotes being booted from the playoffs early on, Hall has now played just 14 postseason games in his 10-year career. If he wants to make a deep run into the postseason, the Bruins might be better equipped to help him do that. 

The 28-year-old tallied 16 goals and 36 assists for 52 points in 65 games played — the seventh 50-plus point campaign of his career. If he lands in Boston, he'll likely slot in on the second line alongside David Krejci. He also could play on the top line with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron. 

If he ends up with Nashville, he'd immediately become one of the team's best players and could play alongside Matt Duchene, Ryan Johansen and Filip Forsberg.
