Report: Forward David Perron wants to re-sign with Blues

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, forward David Perron is interested in re-signing with the St. Blues.

From what I understand, Perion wants to go back," Freidman said Monday on the 32 Thoughts podcast. "He doesn't want this to be a fourth reacquiring - until I'm told otherwise, I'm expecting Perron goes back."

Perron, 34, was a first-round pick by the Blues in the 2007 NHL draft, spending six seasons with St. Louis before being traded to the Edmonton Oilers in 2013. The Blues signed Perron as a free agent in 2016, but he was scooped up by the Vegas Golden Knights in the expansion draft the following season. Perron signed a four-year, $16M contract, returning to the Blues as a free agent in 2018.

In the final season of his contract, Perron led the Blues in powerplay goals (11), finishing with 27 goals overall, the fourth-best on the team. In 67 regular-season games, Perron finished a +8, with 57 points. Perron posted nine goals (four on the powerplay) and four assists in 12 playoff games.

Over the last four seasons with the Blues, Perron has played in 251 games, posting 94 goals and 127 assists.

In St. Louis Blues' history, Perron is eighth all-time in points (465), ninth in games played (673) and goals (196), and tenth in powerplay goals (55).
