Report: Maple Leafs' Wayne Simmonds to miss six weeks with broken wrist

The Toronto Maple Leafs will be without Wayne Simmonds for a little over one month.

According to Sportsnet's Chris Johnston, Simmonds suffered a broken wrist on Saturday and is expected to miss six weeks.

The 32-year-old left the contest against the Vancouver Canucks in the third period after taking a clearance attempt off his wrist. He scored twice before exiting.

Simmonds has five goals in 12 games for the Maple Leafs this season. He has played a significant role on Toronto's top-ranked power play.
