The NHL announced Tuesday which teams will head to the Czech Republic, Finland and Germany for games this fall.

The league's 2024 Global Series will feature the Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils opening the 2024-25 season with two games in Prague on Oct. 4 and 5.

The Sabres will also play a preseason game against Red Bull Munich on Sept. 27 in Munich, opening the German club's new home arena.

Then, the Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars will head to Tampere, Finland, for a pair of games Nov. 1 and 2 to conclude the international series.

Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov and Dallas forward Roope Hintz are both from the Tampere area and live there in the offseason.

"It's more than a dream come true because you don't even dream about this," Barkov said, per NHL.com. "This will probably be one of the best days in my life."

In the 2023 edition of the Global Series, Sweden hosted four games featuring the Detroit Red Wings, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs and Minnesota Wild in Stockholm. The league also went to Australia for the first time to have the Los Angeles Kings and Arizona Coyotes play two preseason games.
