Three bets for Stanley Cup Final Game 6, Sun., 6/26: Avalanche vs. Lightning

We're on to a sixth game in the Stanley Cup Final! I admit I didn't think we'd be here after Game 2, but I'm happy we have more hockey to watch and bet on.

The shot props have been incredibly kind to us this series. We're continuing down that path, and you likely know where this article is going to begin.

Cale Makar 4+ shots (+136 FD)

We imagine the discussions at FanDuel went something like this...
Linesmaker: We're going to list Cale Makar to get 4+ shots at plus-money for Game 6. FD Exec: Haven't we been doing that all series and getting whacked every game? Linesmaker: Yes... FD Exec: So why are we doing it again, haven't you seen the volume he's operating with? Linesmaker: What goes up must come down. FD Exec: This isn't a balloon, this is one of the most talented players on the ice blowing by his shot total every night. And he's better on the road. Linesmaker: I think we'll be okay, let's do plus-money again. FD Exec: Ok, maybe no one will notice.

Victor Hedman 4+ shots (+162 FD)

Of course we're going back to Hedman too.

Hedman has 12 shots on goal in the past two games, and he's averaging 7.8 shots per game in this series. I will continue to bet on Victor Hedman until this series is complete, and I think that's where our analysis can end.

Devon Toews & Ondrej Palat 2+ shots (+127 FD)

Hey, a new play!

I'm very intrigued by Devon Toews and the shot volume he's had in the past few games. He's gotten off 20 attempts in his past three games, piling on eight SOG in the process. He's gone over this total in each game of the series.

His best seems to come when he's on the road as he's gone for 2+ shots in seven of nine road games this postseason, finishing with three or more six times.

Palat is quietly rolling on the Lightning's top line. He has finished with 2+ shots in 15 of his last 20 games, including three straight in this series. At home, he's covered this line in eight of 10 games.

I really like this combination, and we get them at plus-money.

That's going to do it for the shot plays I like in Game 6. I'll piece together some lottery tickets on Twitter, and may add a goal-scorer bet as well. Let's enjoy the action on the ice and cash some bets. It wouldn't hurt to root for a Game 7 as well. I'm not ready to say goodbye to this hockey season.
