Two more Flames players, one staff member enter COVID-19 protocol

One day after a whopping 17 members of the Calgary Flames organization were added to the NHL's COVID-19 health and safety protocol, at least three more people joined them.

The Flames had three games postponed by the league on Monday because of the outbreak that already caused nine players and one staff member to enter the protocol entering Tuesday and another game postponed Wednesday. Per the NHL's website, the Flames placed forwards Byron Froese, Johnny Gaudreau, Trevor Lewis and Tyler Pitlick; defensemen Rasmus Andersson and Erik Gudbranson; and goalie Jacob Markstrom into the COVID-19 protocol on Wednesday.

Head coach Darryl Sutter, assistants Ryan Huska and Kirk Muller, and seven support staff were also added to the list. That group joined Milan Lucic, Sean Monahan, Noah Hanifin, Elias Lindholm, Andrew Mangiapane, Brad Richardson, Adam Ruzicka, Christopher Tanev and Nikita Zadorov among players currently unavailable.

Calgary is currently scheduled to play the Anaheim Ducks at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
