Two NHL prop SGPs for Wednesday, Jan. 10

Yesterday was an exciting day for many NHL bettors in states around the country, and most notably, for this writer. Many already had access to it, but it seems DraftKings has opened the availability for player props to be included in their SGP options for many more states. Be sure to check!

This includes props like points and assists, which can be incredibly correlated. Needless to say, I am excited about what this market can bring us as we look to build some consistency together on the ice.

If you still can't access this, by all means, read between the lines and know that I like these team totals, and books like ESPN BET give you the chance to parlay a player's point with another's assist. There's room for everyone here. Let's highlight two of the best looks tonight!

1u: Roope Hintz & Jason Robertson points (-105 DK)

Dallas is averaging 4.7 goals per game at home over the last month and just beat a shorthanded Minnesota Wild team 4-0 on Monday. I expect a similar outcome here, and the logical choice to get involved is these two men on Dallas' top line and top power-play unit.

Robertson has 13 points in his last 10 games and has 23 in his last 15 against Minnesota. Hintz has 10 points in his past 10 games and 27(!) points in his past five 15 meetings with the Wild.

If you want to add some juice, fellow linemate Joe Pavelski would bring this to +170, but he's been a tad quieter of late.

.75u: Jonathan Drouin point & Cale Makar assist (+152 ESPN)

With Colorado players like Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen and Cale Makar up at 1.5 points, I'm pivoting to include a Makar assist, which has better odds on ESPN.

I love me some Avalanche goals tonight. They're averaging 4.8 goals per game at home over the past month while Vegas is allowing 4.6 goals on the road in the same stretch. These two teams are just going in opposite directions right now, and I'm expecting Colorado to dictate the pace.

There's also a massive power-play edge in this one. The Avalanche own the second-best PP scoring rate over the past 20 days, while Vegas' penalty kill is dead last in the NHL of late.

These two are both on the top power-play line, and should be on the ice together for 5v5, as Drouin has solidified himself on Colorado's top line alongside MacKinnon and Rantanen.

Drouin has a point in 10 of his last 13 games, and Makar has 11 assists in his last 10 games, including five in his past three on home ice.

Good luck!
