It is unclear exactly how long Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Robin Lehner will be shelved by his injury setback. Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports

The Vegas Golden Knights have sent goaltender Robin Lehner back to Las Vegas to undergo more testing for what the team is calling a lower-body injury.

The Golden Knights are in the midst of a five-game road trip and are set to take on the Buffalo Sabres Thursday night. They then fly to Pittsburgh to battle the Penguins Friday before playing Columbus Sunday and Winnipeg on Tuesday.

While in and out of the lineup this year with different injuries, Lehner had put together four games in early March after missing most of February with an upper-body injury.

Lehner has appeared in 38 games this year for the Golden Knights posting a 21-15-1 record, a .909 save percentage, 2.77 GAA while saving 0.9 goals above average.

The team will turn to Laurent Brossoit and Logan Thompson while Lehner is out.
