The turmoil surrounding the Vegas Golden Knights' goaltender group has continued.

Golden Knights goaltender Laurent Brossoit has been placed on the injured reserve list, Ben Gotz of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported on Tuesday.

Brossoit has suffered a lower-body injury and is being declared day-to-day.

The news comes just days after Golden Knights All-Star goaltender Logan Thompson was placed on the IR with a week-to-week status.

Brossoit was brought up from the Henderson Silver Knights as a backup to Adin Hill, who has been filling in for Thompson.

The veteran goalie recently started three-straight games for the Golden Knights after Hill needed rest from a minor injury he underwent in last Saturday's contest against Tampa Bay.

Despite having not made an NHL start in almost a full calendar year, Brossoit actually did very well in net in those three contests.

Each game went to overtime, though the first and third were nearly won in regulation if it weren't for game-tying goals in the final minute.

Brossoit posted 37 saves against the Chicago Blackhawks and 25 against the Calgary Flames.

In Vegas' shootout loss to the Dallas Stars on Saturday, Brossoit finished with a stellar 41 saves.

The second-year Golden Knight played 24 games for the club last season, having made 21 starts. He finished the campaign with a 10-9-3 record.

Prior to Vegas, Brossoit spent three years with the Winnipeg Jets.

For now, it seems the Golden Knights will have to be very reliant on Hill, who has made 22 starts for the club this season.

Vegas did call up veteran goalie Michael Hutchinson from Henderson on Monday. Perhaps that could be an indication he will make his first start as a Golden Knight.

Hutchinson has not appeared in an NHL game since Oct. 23, 2021 when he was a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Vegas will be back on the ice for a home matchup with the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday.
