Arizona Coyotes defenseman Troy Stecher talked with the media after his team suffered a 2-1 defeat to the St. Louis Blues on Nov. 9.

When speaking, Stecher thought the defense played well, but taking seven penalties cost them opportunities to score.

Last night, Stecher blocked two shots, had a plus/minus rating of -1, 19:01 time-on-ice and two hits against the Blues.

Talking about what went wrong, Stecher was very honest with the adversity the Coyotes dealt with throughout the game.

“For us, it was us trying to be disciplined and staying out of the (penalty) box,” Stecher said. “You can’t take that many penalties and expect to win. But, we can take a lot out of pride tonight and being resilient.”
