Watch: Golden Knights have stunning Stanley Cup ring with unique feature

The Vegas Golden Knights will raise their first Stanley Cup banner on Tuesday night when they kick off the 2023-24 NHL season against the Seattle Kraken.

Before they have the banner raising ceremony, they were given their Stanley Cup rings on Sunday, and they might be one of the most unique championship rings for any pro sports team.

Not only are they stunning in their design featuring 12 carats of white and gold diamonds, but the rings also have a removable top that unveil an interior design of the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. That design features an ice sheet that marks each of the team's nine goals from its Stanley Cup clinching win over the Florida Panthers with a star.

Have a look.

They definitely do things more over the top in Las Vegas.

The Golden Knights set a new standard for expansion teams, winning a title in just their sixth season in the league. They have been an immediate success story and a constant Stanley Cup contender from the moment they arrived in the league. They made the Stanley Cup Final in their first season, and then proceeded to make the playoffs in each of their first four seasons.

They fell just short in year five, only to bounce back with a championship year in the 2022-23 season.

Monday's opponent, Seattle, has also been off to an impressive start to its franchise.

The Kraken entered the league during the 2021-22 season, and while they failed to have Vegas' immediate success, they did make the playoffs in year two and knocked off the defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the playoffs.

The NHL's two newest teams are also among the two best, making Monday's game a perfect matchup to open the season.
