Playing in his 801st National Hockey League game, Calgary Flames forward Trevor Lewis scored a pretty goal to put his team up 2–1 over the San Jose Sharks late in the first period on Thursday.

After taking a pass from Rasmus Andersson just outside the Sharks’ defensive zone, Lewis sped down the left side and managed to sneak past Erik Karlsson before tucking the puck between James Reimer’s right pad and the post.

Noah Hanifin also picked up an assist on Lewis’ fifth goal of the season, which came with just 55 seconds remaining in the opening frame.

Playing in his 14th NHL season, Lewis now has five goals and 14 points in 71 games with the Flames. The two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Los Angeles Kings signed a one-year, $800,000 contract to join the Flames last July.

The Flames currently lead the Sharks 2–1 early in the second period of Thursday’s game at SAP Center.
