Watch: Minor league goalie scores goal then has incredible celebration

There was another goalie goal in professional hockey on Friday night when Pyotr Kochetkov of the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves scored a goal at the end of his team's 4-1 win over the Manitoba Moose.

Goalie goals are understandably rare and take the perfect set of circumstances to happen, and they are always worthy of celebrating when they occur.

Kochetkov understood the assignment and completely let loose on his celebration, as you can see here from the AHL. He not only did the fly-by the team bench to collect his high-fives, he also stormed out to center ice and jumped against the glass.

He is only the 20th goalie in the history of the AHL to be credited with a goal.

He also made 39 saves in the win.

Kochetkov was a second-round draft pick by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2019 and has played 22 games at the NHL level the past two seasons, producing a 13-4-5 record with a .912 save percentage. He definitely has a future in the NHL, but for now is excelling in the AHL, not only by stopping a lot of shots, but also scoring a goal.
