Watch: Panthers fans troll Maple Leafs fans with 'You got Florida' chant

When the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round of last year's Stanley Cup Playoffs, a group of their fans started chanting "we want Florida" in advance of the team's second-round matchup with the Florida Panthers.

Well, Toronto got Florida and it did not end well for the Maple Leafs.

The Panthers ended up winning the series in five games on their way to a Stanley Cup Final appearance.

On Thursday, the two teams met for the first time this season and Panthers fans did not miss an opportunity to troll Maple Leafs fans.

That is a "You got Florida" chant echoing throughout the arena. It is also an absolutely perfect response and a great way to get in one more taunt at the Maple Leafs following the postseason series win.

Toronto fans were ecstatic to make it through to the second round last year, as their series win over Tampa Bay was their first playoff series win since the 2003-04 season. Their matchup with the No. 8 seed Panthers probably seemed like a great opportunity for the Maple Leafs to go on a deep run and potentially win their first Stanley Cup since 1967. They went a little crazy in anticipation.

They just forgot that Florida was also a really good team and found that out the hard way.
