WATCH: Phil Kessel scores video-game goal vs. Sharks

There were all sorts of bounces that went the Pittsburgh Penguins' way on Tuesday night in San Jose. But the most eye-catching and jaw-dropping of the five goals they scored against the Sharks was, without a doubt, the opening marker in the first frame.

After grabbing the feed from Evgeni Malkin, Phil Kessel dragged the puck around the back of San Jose's net and poked it toward netminder Martin Jones' right skate. From there, the puck took a nasty skip, narrowly avoiding both Jones' outstretched pad and the post to hit the top of the net.

Bounces in hockey happen. Bounces like this one, however, are typically reserved for video games and require some crazy cheat codes.

It has been widely recognized that Kessel's level of play has gone up since being teamed up with Malkin during his first season with the Pens. But credit for that opening goal should probably go to the skippy ice in front of the trapezoid.

Kessel has night goals and eight assists so far this season.
