Watch: Predators goalie prospect celebrates shootout win by 'bench pressing' net

Yaroslav Askarov, a goalie for the American Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals, had what might be one of the best goaltender celebrations you will ever see in hockey on Friday night.

Askarov stopped 45 shots to help lead Milwaukee to a 2-1 shootout win over the Rockford IceHogs. He celebrated by getting in some bench-press reps when the final shootout attempt from Rockford went wide.

Amazing celebration.

Hey, if goal-scorers can enthusiastically celebrate goals, why can't goalies get in on the fun as well? You can argue that he did not really have to do anything on the final shot because it missed the net, but he still stopped 45 shots before that and was probably the single biggest reason his team won the game. Let him have the celebration.

Askarov was a first-round pick by the Nashville Predators in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft (No. 11 overall) and is one of the top goalie prospects in hockey. He is also the most creative.
