As you know, the Montreal Canadiens picked up another big 2 points last night in overtime, thanks to a game-winning goal from Cole Caufield.

We're talking about an absolutely magnificent and spectacular goal.

However, here we want to highlight a small gesture made by Caufield after his goal, which wasn't necessarily shown excessively but certainly made someone happy.

Cole Caufield imitates his friends Jack Hughes and Trevor Zegras: he celebrates by throwing his stick into the stands

Did you notice?

Pay close attention to what Caufield does with his stick after scoring his famous overtime goal.

This is a better angle that wasn't broadcast on television.

The Montreal Canadiens even made a new post about it in the last few minutes:

What a great moment, and what a beautiful way to end a home game!

It even continued when he arrived in the locker room, with an unusual little scene involving head coach Martin St-Louis.

By the way, going back to Caufield's little celebration, he seems to have taken inspiration from his two best friends.

'Caufield, Zegras, and Hughes..

The three best friends love the little stick-throw celebration in overtime!'

Cole Caufield, 24 years old, now has 28 goals in 59 games this season (53 points in 59 games in total).

Last year, he also scored 28 goals, but in 82 games.
