Lightning stun Panthers in Game 2 with last-second goal

The Tampa Bay Lightning are up 2-0 in a second round series against the Florida Panthers after a dramatic 2-1 win in Game 2 on Thursday.

The winning goal for the Lightning came with less than four seconds left in the third period when Nikita Kucherov found Ross Colton all alone in front of the net for a dramatic finish.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, it's the seventh time in Stanley Cup Playoffs history that a game-winner was scored in the last four seconds of regulation and the second time the Lightning have pulled off the feat.

Tampa Bay scored first with a power play goal in the first period from Corey Perry. Florida tied the game back up late in the second period when Eetu Luostarinen snuck a shot through the pads of Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy.

It was the only mistake of the day for Vasilevskiy, who finished with 35 saves.

The series will now head to Tampa for the next two games of the series, beginning with Game 3 on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET.
