Marc-Andre Fleury’s Agent Responds to NHL Insider's Unretirement Idea

Fleury's postgame comments reflected a player savoring the moment in what could be his final games as a professional hockey player.

“Every time you wear the Canadian jersey, it’s such a great experience and always an honor to be able to play with that jersey on,” Fleury said. "A chance to play with these guys in the locker room, too, was very appealing... so why not? 

"It's a lot of fun, and I'm going to try to enjoy this as much as I can."

LeBrun, watching from afar, noted Fleury's impressive performance on X, writing, “Marc-Andre Fleury flashes the glove.

"I don’t know, could the world championships change Flower’s mind on retirement?? Just kidding. Kind of…”

Fleury’s agent, Allan Walsh, followed up with a comment of his own, keeping the playful tone up and leaving the door open for speculation.

“Flower has made his intentions clear. Kind of…,” Walsh wrote.

Fleury signed a one-year deal in Minnesota and received farewells across the league during his final NHL season. He is out of contract entering the offseason after completing a career in which he won three Stanley Cups and an Olympic gold. 

With a World Championship win, he would join the prestigious Triple Gold Club, which only has 30 members, including 11 Canadians.
