Could one of the best jerseys to ever be worn in the NHL return this coming season? Colorado Avalanche star Nathan MacKinnon may have given us a major hint.
MacKinnon shared a photo to his Instagram story of his hockey gloves, but they aren't the traditional blue color the Avs sport in their uniform. The powder blue color likely means that Colorado plans to bring back a rendition of the Quebec Nordiques uniforms, paying homage to their roots.

The Avalanche essentially admitted that they will sport a third jersey next season because it's the 25th anniversary of the team being in Denver.
However, one fan pointed out that the Avs may be planning to bring back their Stadium Series jerseys from last season. The blue color looks very similar, but photos obviously don't do it justice.

With the start of the 2020-21 campaign targeted for January, fans should expect to see the jersey design released sometime in the near future. For now, all we can do is wait.
