What It Means

Kevin Lankinen will get most of the starts while Demko is out. Jiri Patera could also see some action to spell Lankinen in back-to-back situations.

Injuries have caused Demko to miss plenty of time. A knee ailment caused him to miss most of last campaign. He only played in 23 games last year and had a 10-8-3 record with a .889 save percentage and a 2.90 goals-against average.

Canucks Head Coach Adam Foote said this current injury is unrelated to the undisclosed break that he had over the weekend.
