Flames sign Carson to 2-year deal

The Calgary Flames signed defenseman Brett Carson to a $1.15 million, two-year deal on Thursday after acquiring him late in the season off waivers. Carson was picked up from the Carolina Hurricanes on Feb. 28. The 25-year-old has two goals and 10 assists in 78 career NHL games.
