The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn scored a win on AEW Rampage, but after the match, the group was attacked by Johnny TV ( John Hennigan), who made his return to AEW.

Following a win in a trios match during the June 23 episode of AEW Rampage, The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn were interrupted by Harley Cameron, who tried to propose an alliance with The Acclaimed, She even claimed that Bowens was into her, and he had to break the news that he was gay.

QT Marshall came out and started talking, and when Bowens and Caster left the ring, Johnny TV (also known as John Hennigan) attacked Gunn. He then celebrated the moment with Marshall and the QTV crew.

Hennigan previously competed at a few shows for the company in 2022; most notably; he debuted on the May 18 episode of AEW Dynamite, and he also faced Miro on the June 1 episode.

Prior to his return to AEW, Hennigan had a successful run in MLW, where he won the National Openweight Championship. He dropped the title to Jacob Fatu at the MLW war Chamber tapings in April.

Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, there was word circulating backstage that Hennigan has signed with AEW. Sapp wrote that, per sources, Hennigan will be with the company, and he is signed going forward.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
