The Washington Nationals' decision to move Kyle Schwarber into the leadoff spot is paying off.
Schwarber hit three home runs in Sunday's 5-2 win over the New York Mets after hitting two in Saturday's 6-2 win. His five home runs ties a Major League Baseball record for the most homers in a two-game span, according to MLB.com's Sarah Langs:
Kyle Schwarber's 5 homers in his last 2 games are tied for the most HR in a 2-game span in Nats/Expos history, with Bryce Harper in 2015

5 HR in a 2-game span also ties the overall MLB record
Schwarber hit his first home run of Sunday's contest off Taijuan Walker in the first inning.

The Nationals removed Schwarber from the game in the eighth inning before he could try for his fourth home run of the day. According to The Athletic's Maria Torres, Schwarber's knee was bothering him:
Dave Martinez said Kyle Schwarber was removed from the game because his knee has been bothering him on and off. He felt it after hitting his third homer and told Martinez.

Schwarber is having a tremendous June thus far, hitting .270/.342/.698 with nine home runs and 19 RBI on 17 hits. He's batting .241 on the season with 18 homers and 42 RBI.
