Browns Pro Bowl RB Nick Chubb out Thursday vs. Broncos with calf injury

As Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk noted, the Cleveland Browns placed running back Kareem Hunt (calf) and rookie linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday. The pair will miss a minimum of three games, per league rules, heading into Thursday's prime-time contest against the Denver Broncos.

Later, starting quarterback Baker Mayfield, one of 20 Cleveland players listed on Monday's injury report, confirmed his re-injured left shoulder includes a "completely torn" labrum since Week 2 of the season back on Sept. 19. Mayfield added he's planning on facing the Broncos.

As has been the case for the Browns throughout the week, there's more bad news.

Pro Football Focus' Ari Meirov tweeted that Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters Pro Bowl running back Nick Chubb has been ruled out of Thursday's home matchup between the two 3-3 teams because of the calf issue that sidelined him this past Sunday.

Unproven commodity D'Ernest Johnson, who has 11 yards on three carries this season, is on track to jump to the top of the depth chart at the position. Per Albert Breer of MMQB, rookie ball-carrier Demetric Felton could receive his first rushes of the season Thursday night.

Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com added that Browns starting offensive tackles Jedrick Wills Jr. (ankle) and Jack Conklin (knee) aren't practicing Tuesday but haven't yet been ruled out for Thursday. Both missed the Week 6 37-14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
