The New York Giants are just 2-10 this season and have already fired both head coach Brian Daboll and defensive coordinator Shane Bowen. But heading into their ‘Monday Night Football,’ clash with the 10-2 New England Patriots, Giants fans got some good news.
Quarterback Jaxson Dart – the only quarterback to start for the Giants this season to win a game – is set to return after a two-game absence while dealing with a concussion. Dart took the starting gig from Russell Wilson after the veteran started 0-3, and he immediately injected some life into the team, leading them to wins over the Chargers and Eagles in his first three starts. While Dart was out, Jameis Winston got two starts. In classic Jameis fashion, the games were close and exciting, but ultimately losses for the Giants.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Dart’s most productive individual game came in a loss, but against one of the best defenses in the NFL in the Denver Broncos, throwing for 283 yards and three touchdowns. With that being said, can you name the last rookie quarterback to throw for at least three touchdowns in one game for each NFL franchise since the NFL/AFL merger?
Good luck!
NOTE: The Ravens, Chiefs, Saints and Steelers have no rookie QBs to throw for three touchdowns in one game since the NFL/AFL merger in 1970.
