The Winter of 24/25 won't be remembered for historical season snowfalls or monster storms, but it ended up being the second busiest in American history, according to the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA).
The NSAA just wrapped up their national convention in Marco Island, Florida yesterday, May 11, 2025, and while the organization hasn't released its full annual National Skier/Snowboarder Visits report yet, a small leak from an attending company has revealed the number we've all been waiting for.
According to the NSAA, and SnowCloud, a whopping 61.5 million skier visits were logged at American ski resorts during the Winter 24/25 season. That's up from 60.5 million visits in Winter 23/24, and second only to the record-setting season of Winter 22/23 when an astounding 65.4 million skier visits were logged.
SnowCloud CIO Dave Amirault is celebrating this season's impressive skier visit total as as an indication that the American ski industry is, "alive and well". Amirault shared a chart from NSAA 2025 showing the reported 61.5 million skier visits this season. The number is 1.7% increase compared to last season. See below.
