Summit at Snoqualmie, Washington, just announced that the new Wildside Fixed-Grip Quad Chairlift at Summit West will be installed this summer, opening for the 2024-25 winter season.

This new lift will alleviate issues with traversing to lap the terrain it services.

Officials at the resort explain that while Wildside has always been a local favorite thanks to the steep, fun, and unique terrain it serves, due to its location, it’s always been somewhat difficult to access.

Specifically, there is a long traverse back on the lift involved when lapping the area.

The new Wildside Quad alignment will alleviate these issues by providing more of the fall-line descent with less traversing.

Plus, the new lift is easier to access coming from the parking lot or another lift and is an important connector to Summit Central/Mountaineers.

The resort is also installing new LED fixtures on the chairlift and converting other lights in the region to improve the night skiing experience.

Their team plans to begin disassembly of the old Wildside triple chairlift this week. They have already taken delivery of chairs and other parts for the new quad, and installation will begin later this spring.

The Wildside portion of the mountain stretching from Mountaineers to the bottom of Little Thunder Chairlift will be a designated construction zone and closed to all access starting March 25th.
