Officials at Killington Resort in Vermont had teased a potential final weekend, conditions permitting.

This morning, May 30th, 2024, they made things official with a post explaining that the resort will be open on June 1st for the final day of the 2023/24 winter season. See below.

The caption read, "The Superstar Express Quad will spin from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (conditions permitting) on Saturday only."

Lift tickets will be $25, with proceeds benefitting the Killington Mountain Bike Club. Commemorative T-shirts will be given out while supplies last."

The Killington Mountain Bike Club is a 501c3 non profit organization in Killington Vermont that has been established since 2015 and manages almost 20 miles of trail.

They often have trail days where people come and volunteer to maintain trail by cutting back brush, pruning new growth, and doing general maintenance. See below.

Officials at Killington didn't let their achievement go unnoticed that they will be offering the longest-open lift-accessible skiing on the East Coast, writing "we hope you join us to cap off the longest season in the East!"

Currently, conditions at Killington has a 9 inch base depth, and has seen 239 inches of snowfall this season. There are 3 trails open, 1 mile of skiing, and 16 acres of skiing open.

Still, skiing in June is a huge achievement for any skier living in the East. Cheers to everyone at Killington for making it happen.
