Goon Gear, the eponymous brand started by the legendary Lucas Magoon and his wife, Tonya, just released two snowboards from its 2025 line, one designed by Lucas and the other in collaboration with Storm Rowe.

Important to note: Goon Gear sells all of its snowboards through pre-order, so if you want to ride a Goon board next winter, you can order on the Goon Gear website or DM them on Instagram.

The first 2025 board release is the Goon snowboard, designed by Lucas with art by SLC-based artist Dave Doman. The Goon is built to Lucas' specifications, which means its a killer in the park and ready to ride for creative tricks. The mid-wide has 2mm of traditional camber and comes in a wide variety of sizes, from 135 to 154.

Storm Rowe, a ripper from Vermont, gets a pro model from Goon Gear in the 2025 line and it includes a first for the brand, a wide twin. In addition to the 159 wide twin, the Storm collab comes in a 159 directional shape. The wide twin has flat camber and the directional option has a mix of traditional camber under foot and reverse on the nose to maximize float.

Lucas and Tonya started Goon Gear in 2018. They had just moved back to the East Coast to raise their newborn daughter, returning to the community that they both started snowboarding in. Since then, Goon Gear has been a brand intertwined with bringing people together through snowboarding. In addition to snowboards and a line of softgoods, the Magoons travel all over North America in winter hosting Goon Jams, popular grassroots events stoking out local communities.
