This coming weekend, March 29-31, is the closing weekend of the Mt. Ellen side of Sugarbush, and in honor of the 60th anniversary of the peak, the resort is offering $60 lift tickets.

Conditions are prime in Northern Vermont right now (really, in all of Northern New England) thanks to the recent storm. Sugarbush received 18 inches of snow--groundwork for a really, really good closing weekend at Mt. Ellen.

The $60 lift tickets must be reserved in advance on Sugarbush's website. Here's the info direct from the source, aka the Sugarbush newsletter:

"Grab a/some $60 lift ticket(s) for the final weekend of Mt. Ellen’s 60th season. The parties will be something for the record books. (NOTE- Buy the $60 tickets in advance as they won’t be available day-of.)"

The deal starts on Friday, March 29th and goes through Mt. Ellen closing day on Sunday, March 31st. There are also a ton of 60th anniversary events to take part in, in addition to riding.

Here's the full list of the weekend's events, which include après and closing day celebration.

While the entire expanse of Sugarbush Resort is immense fun, Mt. Ellen is a locals' favorite, featuring long and steep runs as well as the infamous Sugarbush Parks.
