Spend any time riding Sugarbush, whether you're a local to Washington County or visiting friends, and you're bound to make a stop at Lawson's Finest Liquids' taproom.

The taproom opened in 2018 in Waitsfield, Vermont, just a few minutes down the road from Sugarbush. Not only does the taproom offer Lawson's beers on tap (we recommend Little Sip), as well as delicious, perfect-for-après (or anytime) eats, as well as a retail store, the building is totally gorgeous, with high ceilings and tons of light.

Lawson's taproom a favorite stop for locals after a day of snowboarding, including the crew of Rome Snowboards, whose office is located in Waterbury, just about twenty minutes away.

Now, we've seen resorts offering special events and viewing parties for the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8th (the last time a total eclipse will be visible from the United States until 2045), but this is the first beer celebrating the event that we've come cross.

Lawson's Finest just released the new brew, called Path of Totality.

They explained on their Instagram:

"The solar eclipse may be 2 weeks away, but our “Path of Totality” starts now! We teamed up with ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain @echo_vt to craft an extra special black IPA brewed with none other than Eclipse hops! Sitting at 7.5% this complex brew packs bitterness, roastiness, and tropical hop flavor all in one. And how about these holographic cans ✨ Now available at the Taproom in cans and on draft"

What a fun way to celebrate.

Lawson's was named the 2023 Craft Brewery of the Year, a very significant distinction, based on its beloved beers, as well as newly attained status as a B-Corp as well as reaching 100% solar-powered operations last year. Lawson's is truly environmentally and community minded. The company has a Social Impact Program, also known as SIP, that, according to the Lawson's website, "includes our community giving initiatives, environmental initiatives, and employee-first workplace efforts."

To date, as part of SIP, they've donated over $2 million to over 300 organizations, in addition to their environmental initiatives.

Follow @lawsonsfinest, pick up a Path of Totality to try, and get to the taproom next time you're in the area.
