Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Turkish midfielder Ismail Yuksek in recent weeks.

The 25-year-old has done quite well for Fenerbahce this season and he has two goals and 10 assists to his name in all competitions. The highly-rated attacking midfielder is on the radar of Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Newcastle United as well.

A report from Sabah via SportWitness claims that Tottenham sent scouts to watch the player in action yesterday, and it will be interesting to see if they follow up on their interest with a concrete proposal to sign the player at the end of the season.

It is no secret that Tottenham need to bring in a quality midfielder at the end of the season and Yuksek could be the ideal acquisition. The 25-year-old will add goals and creativity to their midfield. His arrival will allow the North London outfit to rotate key players like James Maddison more often.

He can operate as a central midfielder as well as a box to box midfielder.

Tottenham will be hoping to compete for trophies next season and they are pushing for Champions League qualification as well. They will need a deeper squad to cope with the increased number of games, and they must look to add adequate depth to the side during the summer transfer window.

Yuksek has proven himself in Turkish football and he will look to test himself at a higher level. A move to the Premier League will be an exciting opportunity for him, and he will be tempted to join a big club like Tottenham. It will be interesting to see if the North London outfit can beat the competition from Aston Villa and Newcastle for his services.
