AC Milan have got Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek on their list of targets ahead of the summer window, a report claims.

Van de Beek only joined United for £35m (€40m) from Ajax last summer but has so far struggled to adapt to life at Old Trafford, making just 19 Premier League appearances in total and just three starts.

The 24-year-old was brought in to compliment pieces like Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba in United’s midfield but is understood to have become frustrated at a lack of opportunities and at a crucial stage in his development too.

Il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that Milan have become alerted by the situation surrounding the Netherlands international who could end up on the market. Given the amount paid out 12 months ago by the Red Devils a permanent deal is unlikely, but he could be a profitable loan opportunity for the Rossoneri if they decide to let him go.
