AC Milan captain Davide Calabria doesn’t hesitate to congratulate Inter Milan on the “incredible” season they’re having.

The 26-year-old spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews. He praised the Rossoneri’s city rivals as they amass a big lead at the top of the Serie A table.

Two seasons ago, Milan won the Serie A title. They pipped city rivals Inter to the title on the final day of the season.

Then last time around, it was Napoli who won the title.

The Partneopei romped to the Scudetto, having all but wrapped up their first title in over three decades with several months left to go in the season.

And that is the situation that Inter appear to be in now.

There is nothing mathematically secure for the Nerazzurri. There are twelve matches left to go and they will know they can’t let their level drop off significantly.

But it now looks as though it’s not likely that any teams can catch Inter.

Juventus are twelve points back. And Milan are even further off in the distance.

For his part, Rossoneri captain Calabria is happy to give Inter for the run that they have been putting together in the league over the season so far.

Milan Captain Davide Calabria Praises “Extraordinary” Inter Season

After yesterday’s win over Lazio, Calabria remarked “Inter are having an extraordinary season.”

“Sometimes in times like this, it’s only right to congratulate a team who are doing as well as they are,” he continued.

“They play beautiful football,” the Milan captain said.

“They proactively. They score a lot of goals, and concede very few.”

Calabria added that “We have to keep improving so we can be right up there with them.”

“Milan’s history mean that we always have to be fighting for every trophy,” he then said.
