AC Milan have sent their condolences as Margherita Beccegato, Alessandro Costacurta’s mother, died this morning in a car accident.

As per multiple reports, it was around around 9:30 this morning that the mother of the former Milan No.5 Alessandro Costacurta died in a car accident. She was 87 years old and with her small car she crashed into the gate of a company in the Province of Varese.

As per MilanLive, it is thought that it may have been an illness that caused the woman to lose control of the car but she died instantly, despite the immediate response and efforts of the police and the ambulance service.

Milan wanted to express their condolences to Billy Costacurta and his entire family with a message on social media: “We join the pain of Alessandro, Lodovico and the whole Costacurta family for the loss of dear mother Margherita.”
