The agent of Juventus defender Daniele Rugani says he has no regrets missing a past move to Chelsea.

Juve rejected a 40m bid from Chelsea for Rugani earlier in his career.

Davide Torchia told TMW: "No, this decision never weighed on him. Those made with conscience, heart and serenity are never wrong choices. There was the refusal from Juventus, but on the other side there has never been a footballer who wanted to leave at all costs.

"Daniele has always been clear: he would only consider the idea of leaving if the club sold him for an economic reason, otherwise he would have demonstrated that he was worth the trust placed in him."

He continued: "The relationships with the club, also supported by his performances and his attachment to the club, are very positive. He has been there all his life and would also gladly stay, it is a choice that stimulates him year after year. And now that he is starting to be in full of maturity, he feels even more involved in staying at Juventus which is his home ground.

"When they call us, we will be ready to talk. The discussion will not be of an economic nature, because we both already know certain parameters, but will be linked to technicalities. I hope that everything can happen as soon as possible."
